A savory vegan bread infused with garlic, herbs, and kale.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsweetened plant-based milk
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh kale
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (e.g., parsley, chives, rosemary)

  3. In a separate bowl, combine the plant-based milk and olive oil.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Stir in the minced garlic, chopped kale, and fresh herbs.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • You can add vegan cheese for extra flavor.
  • Other vegetables like spinach or sun-dried tomatoes can be substituted for kale.
