A simple and quick pasta dish with a rich garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients

- 8 ounces pasta
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Do not let it brown.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic butter.
- Toss to coat the pasta. Add Parmesan cheese and parsley.
- Add a splash of the reserved pasta water to create a sauce. Toss until well combined and the sauce coats the pasta.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a richer sauce, you can add a splash of heavy cream.
- Add cooked chicken or shrimp for a complete meal.
