Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box yellow cake mix

- In a large bowl, combine the entire box of cake mix and the can of chilled lemon-lime soda.
- Mix the ingredients with a spoon or electric mixer on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan or fill cupcake liners about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes for a cake, or 18 to 20 minutes for cupcakes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely before slicing or frosting, if desired.
Notes
- Use diet soda for a lower sugar option.
- You can use any flavor of cake mix and match it with a corresponding soda flavor for different cake variations.
