- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1 cup water
- 3 cups cooked white rice
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup crushed Doritos chips
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1/4 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in taco seasoning mix and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
- Divide cooked rice among four bowls.
- Top the rice with the seasoned ground beef mixture.
- Arrange lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese over the beef in each bowl.
- Sprinkle crushed Doritos chips over the toppings.
- Add a dollop of salsa and sour cream to each bowl before serving.
Notes
- Use your favorite flavor of Doritos for variety.
- You can substitute ground turkey for ground beef.
