Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crushed Doritos chips
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  3. Drain off any excess grease.
  4. Stir in taco seasoning mix and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  5. Divide cooked rice among four bowls.
  6. Top the rice with the seasoned ground beef mixture.
  7. Arrange lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese over the beef in each bowl.
  8. Sprinkle crushed Doritos chips over the toppings.
  9. Add a dollop of salsa and sour cream to each bowl before serving.
