Ingredients

  • 4 green tea bags
  • 2 cups cubed watermelon
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave nectar (optional)
  • Ice
  • Fresh mint sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Remove from heat and add green tea bags. Steep for 3-5 minutes, then remove tea bags.
  2. Let the green tea cool completely.
  3. While the tea cools, blend the cubed watermelon until smooth. Strain the watermelon juice through a fine-mesh sieve to remove pulp, if desired.
  4. Once the green tea is cool, combine it with the watermelon juice. Stir in honey or agave nectar if using.
  5. Pour the mixture over ice in glasses.
  6. Garnish with fresh mint sprigs, if desired.

  • Adjust sweetness to your liking.
  • For a stronger watermelon flavor, use more watermelon.
