Description
This frozen rosé, or frosé, is the perfect refreshing drink for a summer party. It’s easy to make and a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (750ml) bottle dry rosé wine
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (optional, adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Pour the rosé wine into a shallow baking dish or ice cube trays. Freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight, until solid.
- Once frozen, break the rosé into chunks (if using a baking dish) or remove from ice cube trays.
- Combine the frozen rosé chunks, strawberries, sugar (if using), and lemon juice in a blender.
- Blend until smooth and slushy. If it’s too thick, add a splash of unfrozen rosé or water to reach desired consistency.
- Pour into chilled glasses and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a stronger frosé flavor, you can reduce the amount of strawberries or omit them.
- Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
- Garnish with fresh mint or a strawberry slice for an appealing presentation.
- Store any leftover frosé in the freezer in an airtight container. It may refreeze solid, so re-blend before serving.
