- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Combine sliced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until strawberries break down and the sauce thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
- Mash any remaining strawberry chunks with a fork or potato masher if desired.
- Remove from heat and let cool.

- For a smoother sauce, you can blend it after cooking.
