Description
Warm apple cider flavor chilled and topped with soda water.
Ingredients

- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 star anise
- 3 whole cloves
- 1 cup soda water
- Ice
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine apple cider, brown sugar, cinnamon stick, star anise, and cloves.
- Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture is warm. Do not boil.
- Remove from heat and let steep for 10-15 minutes.
- Strain the spiced cider into a glass or pitcher and let cool completely.
- Fill a glass with ice.
- Pour the cooled spiced cider over the ice, filling the glass about halfway.
- Top with soda water.
- Stir gently and serve.
Notes
- Adjust the spices to your preference.
- You can make a larger batch of the spiced cider and store it in the refrigerator for later use.
- Garnish with an apple slice or cinnamon stick.
