Description
A refreshing homemade raspberry lemonade with a fizzy twist.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 3 cups cold sparkling water or club soda
- Lemon slices and fresh mint for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine raspberries and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until raspberries break down and sugar dissolves, about 5-7 minutes.
- Strain the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing on the solids to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the solids.
- Add the lemon juice to the raspberry syrup. Stir to combine.
- In a large pitcher, combine the raspberry-lemon syrup with the sparkling water or club soda. Stir gently.
- Serve immediately over ice. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint if desired.
Notes
- For a less sweet lemonade, reduce the sugar to 3/4 cup.
- You can make the raspberry syrup ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Adjust the amount of lemon juice to your preference for tartness.
