A classic holiday drink featuring sherry and spices.
Ingredients

- 6 eggs, separated
- ¾ cup sugar
- 3 cups milk
- 2 cups sherry
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- Pinch of ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Beat egg yolks with sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually whisk in milk and sherry.
- In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold egg whites into the egg yolk mixture.
- Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Fold whipped cream into the eggnog mixture.
- Stir in vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Serve in glasses and garnish with extra nutmeg or cinnamon if desired.
Notes
- For a thicker eggnog, use more yolks or less liquid.
- Adjust sugar to your taste.
- You can substitute other spirits like rum or brandy for sherry.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
