Ingredients

  • 2 cans tuna in water, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices bread
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the drained tuna, mayonnaise, chopped celery, and relish. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Top each slice with half of the tuna mixture, then one slice of cheese.
  5. Top with the remaining two slices of bread, butter-side up.
  6. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Cut in half and serve immediately.
