A fast and simple recipe for classic tuna melts ready in minutes.
Ingredients

- 2 cans tuna in water, drained
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices bread
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the drained tuna, mayonnaise, chopped celery, and relish. Season with salt and pepper.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
- Top each slice with half of the tuna mixture, then one slice of cheese.
- Top with the remaining two slices of bread, butter-side up.
- Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Cut in half and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use your favorite type of cheese, such as Swiss or provolone.
- For a crispier sandwich, lightly press down on the sandwich while cooking.
