A refreshing and effervescent cocktail featuring the unique flavor of pineapple sage.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup fresh pineapple sage leaves
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 1 bottle chilled champagne or sparkling wine
Instructions
- Combine water and sugar in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Add pineapple sage leaves to the saucepan. Remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes.
- Strain the syrup and discard the leaves. Let the syrup cool completely.
- Fill champagne flutes halfway with the cooled pineapple sage syrup.
- Top with chilled champagne or sparkling wine.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can adjust the amount of syrup to your taste.
- For a non-alcoholic version, use sparkling water or club soda instead of champagne.
