A modern classic cocktail featuring Scotch, ginger, honey, and lemon.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 oz Blended Scotch
- 0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 0.75 oz Honey-Ginger Syrup
- 0.25 oz Islay Single Malt Scotch (float)
- Candied Ginger (garnish)
Instructions
- Combine blended Scotch, lemon juice, and honey-ginger syrup in a shaker.
- Fill shaker with ice and shake until well chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
- Float the Islay single malt Scotch on top.
- Garnish with candied ginger.
Notes
- To make Honey-Ginger Syrup: Combine 1 cup honey, 1 cup water, and 1 cup peeled and sliced fresh ginger in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer, then remove from heat and let steep for at least 30 minutes. Strain out ginger and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
