Description
A refreshing and festive vanilla pear sparkling soda perfect for New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Ingredients

- 1 ripe pear, cored and chopped
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 liter sparkling water or club soda
- Fresh mint sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Combine chopped pear, water, and sugar in a saucepan.
- Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Simmer for 10 minutes until pear is soft.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing on the pear to extract juice. Discard solids.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Chill the pear-vanilla syrup.
- To serve, fill glasses with ice.
- Add 2-3 tablespoons of pear-vanilla syrup to each glass.
- Top with sparkling water or club soda.
- Stir gently and garnish with mint if desired.
Notes
- For a richer pear flavor, you can roast the pear before chopping.
- Adjust the amount of syrup to your sweetness preference.
- For an adult version, add a splash of vodka or gin.
