Description

A sparkling and refreshing citrus sage champagne punch perfect for New Year’s Eve celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) chilled Champagne or Prosecco
  • 2 cups fresh orange juice
  • 1 cup fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup honey or agave nectar
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh sage
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Fresh sage sprigs and citrus slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine honey or agave nectar and water. Heat gently until dissolved. Let cool.
  2. In a large punch bowl, combine orange juice, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, and the cooled honey-water mixture.
  3. Add the chopped fresh sage to the juice mixture and stir well.
  4. Chill the juice mixture for at least 30 minutes to allow the sage flavor to infuse.
  5. Just before serving, gently pour in the chilled Champagne or Prosecco.
  6. Stir gently to combine.
  7. Garnish with fresh sage sprigs and citrus slices.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, substitute sparkling apple cider or white grape juice for the Champagne.
  • Adjust the sweetness to your preference by adding more or less honey/agave.
  • You can prepare the juice base a few hours in advance and refrigerate. Add the sparkling wine just before serving.
