Description
Classic New Orleans Sazerac cocktail featuring an absinthe rinse and rye whiskey.
Ingredients

- 1 sugar cube
- 3 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 2 oz rye whiskey
- 1/4 oz absinthe
- Lemon peel, for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse a chilled glass with absinthe, discarding excess.
- In a mixing glass, muddle the sugar cube with bitters.
- Add rye whiskey and ice to the mixing glass.
- Stir until well-chilled.
- Strain into the prepared glass.
- Express the oil from a lemon peel over the drink and discard the peel.
