- 3 pounds cooked and peeled shrimp, tail off
- 4 cups clamato juice
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 cup chopped red onion
- 1/2 cup chopped cucumber
- 1/2 cup chopped tomato
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce (like Tapatio or Cholula)
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Avocado slices, for garnish
- Lime wedges, for serving
- Tortilla chips or crackers, for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the clamato juice, ketchup, lime juice, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well.
- Add the chopped cilantro, red onion, cucumber, and tomato to the sauce mixture. Mix to combine.
- Gently stir in the cooked shrimp.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve in individual glasses or bowls. Garnish with avocado slices and lime wedges. Serve with tortilla chips or crackers.
Notes
- You can adjust the amount of hot sauce to your preference.
- For a spicier cocktail, add a chopped jalapeño or serrano pepper.
- Make sure your shrimp are fully cooked and chilled before adding them to the mixture.
