Simple recipe for sweet and savory glazed carrots using maple syrup.
Ingredients

- 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place carrots in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes until slightly tender. Drain well.
- Return carrots to the saucepan over medium heat.
- Add butter, maple syrup, salt, and pepper to the carrots.
- Stir constantly until the butter melts and the syrup coats the carrots evenly, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use unsalted butter.
- You can substitute honey for maple syrup if needed.
