Description

A simple recipe for pork tenderloin coated in a sweet and savory maple bourbon glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pork tenderloin (about 1 to 1.5 lbs)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, bourbon, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, and minced garlic. This is your glaze.
  3. Pat the pork tenderloin dry with paper towels. Season it evenly with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the tenderloin in a small roasting pan or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Brush half of the maple bourbon glaze over the entire surface of the pork.
  6. Roast for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove the pork from the oven and brush the remaining glaze over it.
  8. Return the pork to the oven and roast for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit (63 degrees Celsius) is reached.
  9. Remove the pork from the oven, tent loosely with foil, and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute apple juice for the bourbon if you prefer a non-alcoholic version.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness; do not overcook the pork.
