Description
A refreshing non-alcoholic drink with the calming scent of lavender and the bright taste of lemon.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender buds
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 3 cups cold sparkling water or club soda
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and fresh lavender sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Make the lavender simple syrup: In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, add the lavender buds, and let steep for 15-20 minutes. Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the lavender buds. Let cool completely.
- In a pitcher, combine the cooled lavender simple syrup and fresh lemon juice.
- Add the cold sparkling water or club soda to the pitcher and stir gently.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes.
- Pour the lavender lemonade over ice.
- Garnish with lemon slices and fresh lavender sprigs, if desired.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of lavender simple syrup to your taste preference.
- For a stronger lavender flavor, steep the buds for a longer time.
- You can make the lavender simple syrup ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to a week.
