Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
  5. Pour in white wine or broth and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1-2 minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  6. Stir in parsley.
  7. Serve immediately.
