- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
- Pour in white wine or broth and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1-2 minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Stir in parsley.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
- Serve with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
