A basic recipe for classic peanut butter cookies.

- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Combine peanut butter, sugar, egg, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Mix until just combined.
- Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the balls on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Use a fork to press down on each ball to create a crisscross pattern.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before moving them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Use creamy or crunchy peanut butter based on your preference.
- For a thicker cookie, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
