Description
Crispy baked cauliflower florets coated in a sweet and spicy hot honey glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to heat preference)
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each cauliflower floret first into the milk, then dredge thoroughly in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
- Place the coated florets on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the cauliflower is tender and lightly browned.
- While the cauliflower bakes, prepare the glaze: In a small saucepan, combine the honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Heat over low heat until the honey is melted and the mixture is smooth. Do not boil.
- Remove the baked cauliflower from the oven. Place the hot cauliflower into a large bowl.
- Pour the hot honey glaze over the cauliflower and toss gently until all pieces are evenly coated.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can lightly spray the coated florets with cooking spray before baking.
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce to control the spice level of the final dish.
