Description
A simple recipe for making fresh apple juice at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4–5 medium apples
- 1/2 cup water (optional, for thinner juice)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, to prevent browning)
Instructions
- Wash the apples thoroughly.
- Cut the apples into quarters and remove the core.
- If using a juicer, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
- If not using a juicer, chop the apple pieces and place them in a blender with water (if using). Blend until smooth.
- Strain the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a bowl. Squeeze out as much juice as possible.
- Stir in lemon juice (if using).
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Use a variety of apples for a more complex flavor.
- For a sweeter juice, add a touch of honey or maple syrup.
- The juice will keep in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
