Ingredients

- 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
- 8 cups water
- 1/2 cup sugar (or to taste)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2–3 cloves
- Lime slices for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse the dried hibiscus flowers under cold water.
- In a large pot, combine water, hibiscus flowers, sugar, cinnamon stick, and cloves.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Strain the drink through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the hibiscus flowers and spices.
- Pour the drink into a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until thoroughly chilled.
- Serve over ice with lime slices for garnish.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of sugar to your preference.
- For a stronger flavor, steep the hibiscus flowers for a longer period.
- You can add other spices like ginger or star anise for different flavor profiles.
- Store leftover drink in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
