- 2 pounds assorted heirloom tomatoes, cut into wedges
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the heirloom tomato wedges and torn basil leaves.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, and minced garlic.
- Pour the vinaigrette over the tomatoes and basil.
- Gently toss to coat.
- Season with salt and black pepper to your preference.
- Serve immediately.

- For best flavor, use tomatoes that are at room temperature.
- You can add thinly sliced red onion or mozzarella balls for extra flavor.
