- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 2 cups sparkling water or club soda, chilled
- Ice cubes
- Gummy worms or plastic spiders for garnish (optional)

- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves and berries soften, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Strain the berry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard solids.
- Stir in fresh lime juice into the berry syrup.
- To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes.
- Pour about 2-3 tablespoons of the berry syrup into each glass.
- Top with sparkling water or club soda.
- Stir gently to combine.
- Garnish with gummy worms or plastic spiders, if desired.
Notes
- You can make the berry syrup ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more or less sugar.
- For an adult version, add a shot of vodka or rum to each glass.
