A refreshing and festive drink perfect for Fourth of July celebrations.
Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 4 cups sparkling water, chilled
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint sprigs for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine sliced strawberries, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Gently mash with a fork to release juices.
- In another small bowl, combine blueberries, remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Gently mash with a fork.
- Divide the mashed strawberries among four glasses.
- Carefully layer ice cubes over the strawberries in each glass.
- Add the mashed blueberries on top of the ice.
- Slowly pour chilled sparkling water into each glass.
- Garnish with fresh mint sprigs. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a stronger berry flavor, let the mashed berries sit for 15-20 minutes before assembling.
- Adjust sweetness to your preference by adding more or less sugar.
- You can use other berries like raspberries or blackberries.
