Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in a slow cooker or a large pot.
  2. Pour the chicken broth over the chicken.
  3. Sprinkle the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika evenly over the chicken.
  4. Cook on low in a slow cooker for 4-6 hours, or simmer gently in a pot on the stove for about 20-25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Remove the chicken from the liquid and shred it using two forks.
  6. Return the shredded chicken to the pot and mix it with some of the cooking liquid to keep it moist.

Notes

  • You can use the cooking liquid as a base for sauces or soups.
  • For faster cooking, use an Instant Pot on high pressure for 10 minutes, followed by a natural pressure release for 5 minutes.
