Description

A refreshing blackberry lemonade perfect for Easter brunch.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and extra blackberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine blackberries, sugar, and 1 cup of water.
  2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  3. Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Strain the blackberry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract all the juice. Discard the solids.
  5. Add the lemon juice and remaining 2 cups of water to the pitcher. Stir well.
  6. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices and fresh blackberries.

Notes

  • Adjust sugar to your taste.
  • For a sparkling version, use sparkling water instead of still water.
  • Can be made ahead of time.
