Description
A refreshing blackberry lemonade perfect for Easter brunch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and extra blackberries for garnish
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine blackberries, sugar, and 1 cup of water.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Strain the blackberry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract all the juice. Discard the solids.
- Add the lemon juice and remaining 2 cups of water to the pitcher. Stir well.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices and fresh blackberries.
Notes
- Adjust sugar to your taste.
- For a sparkling version, use sparkling water instead of still water.
- Can be made ahead of time.
