Description

A refreshing, non-alcoholic drink combining cool cucumber, spicy ginger, and fresh mint.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cucumber, chopped
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 10 mint leaves
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup (or to taste)
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Place the chopped cucumber, sliced ginger, and mint leaves into a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker.
  2. Muddle the ingredients gently until the cucumber releases its juice and the mint is fragrant. Do not over-muddle the mint.
  3. Add the lime juice and simple syrup to the mixture. Stir well.
  4. Fill a serving glass with ice cubes.
  5. Strain the cucumber-ginger-mint mixture into the serving glass.
  6. Top with sparkling water or club soda.
  7. Stir briefly and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a less spicy ginger flavor, use a smaller piece of ginger.
  • Adjust simple syrup amount based on your preference for sweetness.
  • If you do not have simple syrup, mix equal parts sugar and hot water until dissolved, then cool.
