Description

A refreshing, spiced sangria combining cranberry, apple cider, and orange flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) dry white wine
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 apple, cored and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, apple cider, orange juice, brandy, and orange liqueur.
  2. Add the sliced orange, sliced apple, cranberries, and cinnamon stick to the pitcher.
  3. If you prefer a sweeter drink, stir in the optional sugar until dissolved.
  4. Stir the mixture gently to combine all ingredients.
  5. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Before serving, remove the cinnamon stick. Serve the sangria over ice, making sure each glass gets some fruit.

Notes

  • Use a crisp white wine like Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc for the best flavor.
  • If you do not have brandy, you can substitute it with an additional 1/4 cup of apple cider.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the wine and brandy, and use 3 cups of apple cider instead.
