Description
Make a quick version of the KFC Famous Bowl using an air fryer for crispy chicken and potatoes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup frozen french fries
- 1 cup cooked, shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup whole kernel corn, drained
- 1/4 cup chicken gravy
- 1/4 cup mashed potatoes (instant or prepared)
- 1 tablespoon shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Place frozen french fries in the air fryer basket. Cook according to air fryer instructions until crispy, usually about 10-12 minutes at 380F (195C), shaking halfway through.
- While fries cook, warm the chicken gravy slightly if needed.
- Assemble the bowl layers in this order: french fries, mashed potatoes, shredded chicken, and corn.
- Pour the warm chicken gravy over the layers.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Return the assembled bowl (if your air fryer basket is oven-safe, otherwise skip this step and serve immediately) to the air fryer for 2-3 minutes at 350F (175C) just to melt the cheese slightly, or serve immediately.
Notes
- You can use leftover mashed potatoes or prepare instant ones according to package directions.
- For the chicken, use rotisserie chicken or bake/air fry chicken breasts and shred them.
- Adjust air fryer temperature based on your specific model for the best fry crispness.
