Instructions

  1. Brew strong coffee and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, heat milk and caramel sauce over medium heat until warm. Do not boil.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the warm milk mixture into the brewed coffee.
  5. Pour the coffee mixture into a mug.
  6. In a separate small saucepan or on a stovetop, sprinkle the granulated sugar in a thin layer. Heat until the sugar melts and caramelizes.
  7. Carefully pour the brûléed sugar over the top of the coffee to create a hardened crust.
  8. Top with whipped cream and drizzle with extra caramel sauce.
