Description

A quick and easy one-pan meal combining pasta, ground meat, cheese, and taco seasoning.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) taco seasoning mix
  • 4 cups water
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni pasta
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning mix and water. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. Add the elbow macaroni pasta. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes, or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and milk. Cook until heated through, about 3 minutes.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef.
  • For a spicier dish, add a pinch of cayenne pepper with the taco seasoning.
