Description
Simple grilled asparagus wrapped in foil with cheese and seasonings.

- 1 pound asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 sheets heavy-duty aluminum foil, about 12x12 inches
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat.
- In a bowl, toss the trimmed asparagus with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Lay out four sheets of aluminum foil. Divide the seasoned asparagus evenly among the four sheets, placing it in the center of each.
- Sprinkle 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese over the asparagus on each foil sheet.
- Fold the edges of the foil together tightly to create sealed packets, leaving a little room for steam inside.
- Place the foil packets directly on the grill grates.
- Grill for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and the cheese is melted.
- Carefully remove the packets from the grill. Open them slowly to release steam before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute cheddar or Parmesan cheese for mozzarella.
- If you do not have heavy-duty foil, use two layers of regular foil per pack.
