Ingredients

- 1 1/2 ounces tequila blanco
- 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
- 1/2 ounce orange liqueur (like Cointreau)
- 1/4 ounce agave nectar (optional, adjust to taste)
- 3 ounces chilled champagne or sparkling wine
- Lime wedge, for garnish
- Salt or sugar for the rim (optional)
Instructions
- If using salt or sugar, rim a champagne flute or cocktail glass by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it in a shallow dish of salt or sugar.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave nectar (if using).
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake well until chilled.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glass.
- Top with chilled champagne or sparkling wine.
- Garnish with a lime wedge.

- Adjust the amount of agave nectar based on your sweetness preference.
- Use a dry champagne or sparkling wine for a less sweet drink.
