Description
A refreshing sangria with autumn fruit flavors.
Ingredients

- 1 bottle (750ml) dry red wine
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 apple, sliced
- 1 pear, sliced
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh cranberries
- Cinnamon sticks for garnish
- Star anise for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, brandy, orange liqueur, apple cider, and maple syrup.
- Stir well to combine.
- Add the sliced apple, pear, orange, and cranberries to the pitcher.
- Gently stir to distribute the fruit.
- Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, add cinnamon sticks and star anise to the pitcher.
- Serve chilled over ice.
Notes
- For a sweeter sangria, add more maple syrup.
- You can substitute other autumn fruits like pomegranates or persimmons.
- For a non-alcoholic version, use sparkling apple cider instead of wine and omit the brandy and orange liqueur.
