Description

A quick recipe for savory Asian sesame noodles.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz noodles (spaghetti or ramen)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey or maple syrup, ginger, garlic, and chili garlic sauce, if using.
  3. Place the drained noodles in a large bowl.
  4. Pour the sauce over the noodles. Toss well to coat everything evenly.
  5. Serve immediately or chill for later. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

  • You can add cooked shredded chicken or edamame for extra protein.
  • Adjust the amount of chili garlic sauce to control the spice level.
