Description
Simple recipe for cooking lean turkey burgers in an air fryer for a quick meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine ground turkey, bread crumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Form the mixture into four equal patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent bulging.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place the turkey patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap. You may need to cook in batches.
- Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping the patties halfway through the cooking time, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately on buns with your preferred toppings.
Notes
- For juicier burgers, you can add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the meat mixture.
- If you do not have bread crumbs, use crushed plain crackers or rolled oats.
