Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk the egg, milk, and vegetable oil.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray.
- Dip each mini hot dog into the batter, coating it fully.
- Place the battered hot dogs into the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the cornbread is golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
- For best results, ensure the hot dogs are completely dry before dipping them in the batter.
- You can adjust the sugar amount slightly based on your preference for sweetness.
