Description
Make crispy sweet potato fries quickly using an air fryer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large sweet potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Scrub the sweet potatoes clean. Do not peel them.
- Cut the sweet potatoes into fry shapes, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Place the cut sweet potatoes in a large bowl.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the sweet potatoes and toss to coat evenly.
- Add the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Toss again until the spices coat the fries.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the sweet potato fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary. Do not overcrowd the basket.
- Air fry for 12 to 18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the fries are golden brown and crisp.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, soak the cut sweet potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before drying them completely.
- Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of your fries.
