Description
A refreshing and festive sparkling berry lemonade perfect for the 4th of July.
Ingredients

- 1 cup raspberries
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 4 cups sparkling water or club soda
- Ice
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine raspberries, blueberries, sugar, and water.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Simmer for 5-7 minutes, until berries soften.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Strain the berry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
- Add fresh lemon juice to the pitcher and stir.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice.
- Pour the berry-lemon mixture about one-third of the way up each glass.
- Top with sparkling water or club soda.
- Gently stir and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust sugar to your taste.
- You can use other berries like strawberries or blackberries.
- For a stronger berry flavor, do not strain the mixture.
