Description
A refreshing blueberry lemonade with a sparkling touch, perfect for 4th of July celebrations.
Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sparkling water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices, for garnish
- Extra blueberries, for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, sugar, and water.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, until blueberries are soft.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Strain the blueberry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing the berries to extract all the juice. Discard solids.
- Add the fresh lemon juice to the pitcher.
- Stir in the sparkling water.
- Fill glasses with ice.
- Pour the blueberry lemonade over ice.
- Garnish with lemon slices and extra blueberries.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust sugar to your preferred sweetness.
- For a stronger blueberry flavor, do not strain the cooked blueberries.
- You can make the blueberry syrup ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator.
